Pflugerville is at a breaking point.
Skyrocketing water rates and taxes are making it impossible for families to stay, while City Council insiders and their allies, like my opponent, run up a billion dollar tab on our children's future, driving us toward financial ruin with reckless spending and massive debt.

I’m Sam Aly, a financial consultant, dad, and furious resident running as a write-in candidate to stop this insanity, cut rates, and keep our city affordable

A Write-In campaign is always an uphill fight, but I have a plan and path to win. That plan requires YOUR help.

There are plenty of our friends and neighbors sick and tired of the City Council setting our money on fire. I plan to contact them all. That however takes time, and if you can let me know you're already onboard, that's one less person I need to reach.

Please take a quick second to help me out

The Urgent Pfight for our Pfuture

Pflugerville, our home is under siege, not from outsiders, but from the reckless decisions of a tight-knit group of city council insiders and their hand-picked successors, like my opponent, who’ve lost touch with what makes our city special. Their extreme fiscal mismanagement has driven up costs, making it harder for families, small businesses, and retirees to afford living or doing business here. From skyrocketing water rates to a lack of affordable housing and the erosion of our small-town charm, the challenges we face are real and urgent. As your write-in candidate for city council, I’m here to tackle these issues head-on and restore the Pflugerville we love.

Rising Unaffordability: Every year, it feels like Pflugerville slips further out of reach. Property taxes are climbing, utility bills are crushing, and the cost of staying in our homes is pushing families to the breaking point. The council’s unchecked spending spree, billions poured into projects that don’t serve the average resident, has fueled this crisis. We’re not a piggy bank for bureaucrats’ pet projects; we’re a community of hardworking people who deserve a city that works for us, not against us. I’ll fight to cut taxes, streamline budgets, and prioritize spending that actually benefits you, so Pflugerville stays a place where everyone can thrive.

Extreme Fiscal Mismanagement: The council’s inner circle has treated our tax dollars like Monopoly money, racking up massive debt with no regard for the consequences. Their crown jewel? A $150+ million (and counting) “Tax Mahal” City Hall that screams self-interest over community need. My opponent, part of this group's radical inner circle, has cheered on their reckless agenda, supporting projects that bloat our budgets while delivering little for residents. As a financial consultant, I know how to cut waste and build sustainable plans. I’ll demand transparency, vote against extravagant spending, and ensure every dollar is spent wisely only on services that make our lives better.

Skyrocketing Water Rates: Opening your water bill shouldn’t feel like a punch to the gut, but for too many of us, it does. The council’s failure to manage utilities responsibly has left us with some of the highest water rates around, hitting families, seniors, and small businesses the hardest. My opponent’s alignment with this status quo means more of the same. Starting day one, I’ll push a detailed plan to lower water rates, negotiate better contracts, and explore innovative solutions to keep utility costs affordable without sacrificing quality.

Lack of Affordable Housing: Pflugerville’s growth is a blessing, but it’s also pricing out the very people who built this community. The council’s focus on flashy developments over practical housing solutions has left young families, workers, and retirees struggling to find homes they can afford. My opponent’s ties to the council’s tax and spend extremism won't fix that. I’ll advocate for policies that incentivize affordable housing, streamline zoning to cut red tape, and ensure developers prioritize homes for our residents, not just luxury projects and endless apartment complexes for outsiders subsidized by your tax bill.

Losing Our Small-Town Feel: Remember when Pflugerville felt like a tight-knit community, where neighbors knew each other and our town had heart? That charm is slipping away as the council chases big-city dreams at the expense of our identity. Sprawling projects and unchecked growth, backed by my opponent and their insider allies, are turning our home into just another overpriced Austin suburb. I’ll fight to preserve our small-town spirit, supporting local businesses, protecting green spaces, and fostering community events that bring us together, so Pflugerville stays a place where we feel connected.

This November, we have a chance to change course. My opponent, groomed by the same bureaucrats who’ve mismanaged our city into this mess, will only double down on their failed policies. As a write-in candidate, I’m here to fight an uphill battle for you, because I believe in Pflugerville’s potential and refuse to let it slip away. Together, we can lower taxes and water rates, make housing affordable, and restore our small-town heart while building a financially secure future.
